Jacada Enhances Leading Web-to-host Solution with Release of Jacada Interface Server Version 8.0
Jacada, the leading provider of legacy integration and Web-to-host solutions, represented locally by CommerceQuest SA, has announced general availability of Jacada Interface Server version 8.0, delivering an unprecedented platform for automated Web-to-host. With over 1,000 customers worldwide, Jacada Interface Server is the leading automated Web-to-host solution and the only offering capable of generating open, non-proprietary graphical thin-client interfaces as either Java or XHTML.
Version 8.0 of Jacada Interface Server includes significant enhancements to the company's Web-to-host and modernization capabilities for IBM mainframe and iSeries platforms. "This release adds a multitude of unparalleled capabilities to Jacada's Web-to-host offering, demonstrating our commitment to providing the most comprehensive solution for organizations seeking to extend the reach and functionality of their legacy systems," said Oren Ezra, vice president of product management for Jacada.
Version 8.0 of Jacada Interface Server includes the following new capabilities and benefits for XHTML thin-client delivery:
* Seamless Integration with Jacada Integrator provides the ability to invoke integration services developed using Jacada Integrator, utilizing a wizard-driven development approach. Services that represent transactions performed against host and Web-based legacy applications can now be invoked synchronously or asynchronously from Jacada Interface Server.
* Enhanced Change Management enables integration with third-party configuration management products to provide source code management in a multi-developer environment.
* Built-in Web Server simplifies and improves the robustness of Web-to-host deployments.
* Mainframe Application Support for Model 3 and Model 5 terminals.
* SSL Communication between the host and the Jacada Interface Server provides an added layer of security for Web-to-host communications.

"TNT has benefited greatly from our investment with Jacada," said Carey Caile, Manager Technology Services of TNT Logistics North America. "Because of Jacada's open architecture and flexibility at both the server and client levels, we were able to leverage our legacy computing systems by collecting quality statistics and presenting the information in a graphical format. As technology requirements have changed, such as the need to move from Java to XHTML, Jacada has been able to provide a path to address our need to quickly deploy as XHTML with very little development effort."
"Jacada continues to set the pace for thin-client generation for legacy systems," said Ezra. "Jacada Interface Server is the only product that provides this multitude of options for delivering Web-enabled solutions that are open, extendable, and scalable. Version 8.0 represents our third product release for XHTML client delivery, and XHTML presentation interfaces are clearly the emerging choice for enterprise organizations looking to maximize the reach and usability of their Web-based applications."
